Been wondering about how the way we swear has evolved with time..
Simple phrases that we use to swear have now become more complicated..
some hilarious.. some kinda stupid.. and some words eventhough stupid, has some meaning in it..
Here are some of these that i have come across..
nagoorundiyaa - a mix of nagoo and rundi.. i wonder what that would mean..
nagoosenti - now i realy have no clue wat dat means hehe
nagookeyaa - ive heard of nagookendiyaa.. never heard of a nagookeyaa.. have u? correct me if im wrong. :)
nagulaa - aah dis makes some sense.. means a tail lol
all dese words above seem to have evolved from the word - nagoobalhu or nagookendiyaa
nagoo seysaru - this is one word which i think has a meaning... hehe while doin something at a frnds house my frnd said it out loud enough that his sister heard.. she told us not to say it.. and it lives in the sea..! LMAO!! i have no idea where it lives i wonder if its even an 'it' keke we kept on laughing till she loste her temper and fled to her room.. keke
now for the 'amaa' words
amaa thaangi - used very often by a close frnd of mine.. makes sense.. but i wonder why a mum wud need a 'thaangi' ; means water storing tank or why a thaangi.. i mean there are other things.. ryt?
amaa centimeter - now wats dis? is dis like a new unit of measurement? like cubic centimeters? i wonder how long an amaa centimeter wud be keke
amaa footufeethaa - something i accidentally blurted out to prevent saying ama fui as a bottle of water fell on my leg.. my mum wuz close by.... laughing!!
amaa kurandi - very often used by a friend of mine.. ive heard of kurandi its some sort of a food u make out of fish.. (i think..) but im sure its some local food item.. and i wonder if its made of anythin coming from a mother..
amaa thuki - thuki? anyone have any idea wat thuki is? plz let me know if u do.. :)
amaa mey - sure sure.. every moms got a mey.. or a chest..
amaa naaiy - haha.. awesome word dis is.. very often ppl respond wit 'belintha?' apparently its the name of a maldivian movie :)
amaa tha? - hehe yeah asking if its a particular persons mother, used very often by some close friends
amaa cylinder - another one very similar to amaa thaangi
amaa obbondi - now this is really stupid.. obbondi means testicles and they are only present in males.. hehe and a mother is a female and females cant possibly have testicles.. hehe
amaa tanker - mums got a whole army now! lol..!! i wonder wats next.. amaa helicopter?
amayaa moshifa hajjah dhiun - makes sense hehe hajjah dhiyaama faafathah fussavaane
but i dnt think the sin of making out with ur mom will ever be erased keke
amaa fuyaa lonumiruhaa bathaa badhanaa - hehehe its now a meal.. keke complete wit lonumirus and almonds lol!
amaa fonuvi fada case ebainey aharungey meyzu dhashuga - used by a friend of mine when hes said to 'fadaboe!' he simply says i can.. 'kae amaa fonuvi fada case ebain aharungey meyzu dhashuga! ehenveema boveyneyey!' hehe leaves the offender speechless, rele handy words ;)
now for the animals hehe
kuhthey - means dog in hindi lingo
singaa - means lion keke.. i wonder if its insulting to call a guy by the name of the king of the jungle hehe
lahjehi ooru -ooru means pig.. i never heard of a 'lahjehi' pig though
suutheri - ive asked a lot of people about it and most people say its an animal so here it is..keke let me know if u guys know the meaning :)
haraam bakari - this i think has been used long ago.. bakari means goat.. haraam means unpure..mostly said to kids who are born without the parents getting married.. i wonder if goats have to get married too keke
moving on to the meals
jamalu findhaa boa rotta - kekeke wonder how dat wud taste..
kes kaigen vaarey fen buin - yuck!!
